AFSAT to EUSAT - Satellite Frequency Change Notice
September 2009
In order to allow for expansion of our reference station network, OmniSTAR will be changing the AFSAT satellite frequency that covers Europe, Africa as of 18 September 2009. This means that all OmniSTAR capable receivers will have to be set to a new frequency and baud rate in order to be able to receive our broadcast.
We are currently broadcasting both the old and new satellite frequencies in order to facilitate a smooth transition. Hence, we urge clients to start changing to the new frequency as of the 18 September 2009.
Please change the current AFSAT settings from:
Satellite name: AFSAT
Satellite frequency: 1535.080 MHz
Baud rate: 1200
To the new EUSAT satellite frequency:
Satellite name: EUSAT
Satellite frequency: 1537.440 MHz
Baud rate: 1200
AFSAT will continue broadcasting after the changeover. AFSAT Broadcast will be discontinued on the 30th November 2009.
A detailed description of how to change the frequency and baud rate for a specific type of receiver, is available on our HERE.
OmniSTAR technical support will be available to assist with the transition in order to minimize the inconvenience that may be caused by the above.
